Oak windows are a mainstay of our business - we have worked on many local timber framed houses over the years and have a lot of experience in this area. Our range of traditional mouldings give the final window historic accuracy and very pleasing aesthetics.
Furniture and Glazing
At Royston Davies we offer an extensive range of window furniture in all manner of finishes - locally-made blacksmith pieces or sourced from one our larger suppliers. UK Building Regulations demand increasing performance from our glazing systems. We use industry leading suppliers in order to meet these demands. Much of our traditional work incorporates the use of slim double glazed units. With a typical thickness of 12mm, these offer the functionality of standard 24mm double glazing but allow us to keep the narrow glazing bars and beads that typify traditional windows.

Timber Selection
Our joiners carefully select pieces of timber with the correct characteristics for the end product. Selection of timber is particularly critical in Oak work. Our joiners select from our stock of timber or visit the local sawmills , looking for a suitable grain pattern, minimal defects and accurate colour.
